Current Projects

Work currently under review is concerned with the early political career of Demosthenes, an Athenian orator of the 4th century B.C.E., who in his later career led Greek opposition to Macedonia. The issue under examination concerns an elite bias at work in his early speeches and how that bais played out in the various political arenas of Athens.
