I am reasonably sure that I would like to write an senior thesis in English.
I have reviewed the thesis calendar in the English Handbook, and I believe I can meet the stated deadlines.

Please attach pages that respond to the following requests.

1.  List the professors with whom you have visited about the project and about possible topics.
2.  List in chronological order the English Courses you have completed, ending with those you are taking now.
Please indicate the grades you received in your courses at Coe.
If any were not taken at Coe, please indicate where you took them.
3.  Please give a one-sentence description of each of two or three topics or projects you have thought about seriously.
4.  Write several paragraphs explaining the topic or project you prefer.   In these paragraphs, answer as best you can, the following questions.

What main texts will you study? What do you hope to learn? Why does this interest you?
Or - What is the form of your project? What do you expect to learn by completing it?
5.  Tell us your thoughts about your ability to complete a thesis. This is a year-long task requiring that you set up and stick with a work schedule mostly on your own. Self-motivation and discipline are perhaps more important to success than intelligence and skill. What makes you confident that you can complete this task?
