America: History and Life is a complete bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. Published since 1964, the database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries.  Access is restricted to Coe users.

CINAHL (and it's companion Pre-CINAHL) available through EbscoHost, is the authoritative resource for nursing and provides indexing and abstracting for over 1,700 current nursing and allied health journals and publications dating back to 1982, totaling over 880,000 records.

CSA Arts and Humanities provides access to Philosopher's Index. 

CSA Biology  Cambridge abstracts articles of interest to biologists and biochemists.

CSA Physical Education Index provides access to articles on sports, physical education and sports medicine. 

Ebsco Host provides access to Academic Search Premier, a multidisciplinary database. Subject specific databases in: History, Business, Health, Education (ERIC), Psychology, Literature (MLA), Religion, Music and Newspapers. Provided in cooperation with the State Library of Iowa. 

FIRST SEARCH OCLC'S First Search provides information about books, journal articles, papers and other media in over 80 separate databases, including art, religion, philosophy, psychology and music.

Literary Reference Center and MLA is for researchers in the humanities, particularly in literature, language, and linguistics, providing more than 1.6 million bibliographic citations from 1963 to the present. International in scope, it includes scholarship in English, French, Spanish, German, and Italian, as well as other languages and covers English, American, European, Asian, African, and Latin American literature and folklore in detail.

Handbook of Latin American Studies (HLAS)  "The Handbook is a bibliography on Latin America consisting of works selected and annotated by scholars. Edited by the Hispanic Division of the Library of Congress, the multidisciplinary Handbook alternates annually between the social sciences and the humanities.  The Handbook offers Latin Americanists an essential guide to available resources...."

Historical Abstracts  is your complete reference guide to the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America: History and Life). This database published since 1954, contains over half a million entries in all.  Access is restricted to Coe users.

LexisNexis Academic A service providing current business, news and political and legal information. LN Academic is only available to Coe users who are logged on to the campus network.

LexisNexis Congressional  A service providing extensive coverage of Congress and the government.  Includes access to the full text of  hearings, public laws, reports, bills, the U.S. Code and many other  federal documents. 

Medline Web-based search service that provides access to more than nine million citations to articles in more than 5,000 biomedical journals. Created and sponsored by the National Library of Medicine. Medline is also available in Ebsco Host, FirstSearch and LexisNexis.

PsycArticles/PsycInfo articles of interest to psychologists,sociologists, social workers and educators.

Readers' Guide Retrospective indexes almost 400 leading magazines back as far as 1890 through 1982. Provides access to over 3 million articles tracing the history and culture of the United States.

SCIRUS  The most comprehensive science-specific search engine on the Internet. Driven by the latest search engine technology, Scirus searches over 167 million science-specific Web pages and  peer-reviewed articles and journals.

STN Easy  Access to CAS chemistry databases.  Only available to Coe users.  Searching can only be done during the following hours:  Monday - Friday, 5 pm - 5 am; Saturday, midnight - 6 pm; Sunday, 8 am - 5 am (Monday).

Uncover/Ingenta is a searchable index by author, keyword, or journal title. Tables of Contents can be browsed.
