For the past several years the Coe science departments have teamed together to put on the Coe Playground of Science. This activity has grown to the point where more than 1000 children and their parents come for an evening of live science. About 50 activities are annually presentd in a hand-on manner to the audience. Some of the experiments include cool magnets, optics, liquid nitrogen ice cream, glowing pickles, acoustics, moebius strips, holograms, and much more. The event is typically at the end of October on a Thursday.
