Coe Greens is an environmental organization at Coe College which promotes environmental awareness.
They hold annual events to involve the campus in various environmental activities. Some of these events include
the veggie dinner, the J-Term sleepover, Arbor Day activities, Earth Week activites, and various trips to nearby
parks. Greens is currently a member of six different organizations which deal with environmental issues. They encourage recycling on campus and hold one recycling contest per semester in which the different floors in every building
compete against each other. Greens puts out a monthly newsletter as well as other items which inform students of current
environmental issues and emphasizes conserving
natural resources. Greens is against animal
testing and promotes companies which use alternative methods. Coe Greens meets on Tuesdays
at 5:30 pm in the Eppley Room of Gage Memorial Union (see Calendar).
