Chapter Facts: | Alpha Omicron Pi is an international women's fraternity promoting friendship for a lifetime, inspiring academic excellence and lifelong learning, and developing leadership skills through service to the organization and community. Four women at Barnard College, now part of Coumbia University, in New York founded Alpha Omicron Pi on January 2, 1897. Today Alpha Omicron Pi has entered the lives of over 110,000 women in over 174 active internationa chapters. The Chapters of Alpha Omicron Pi strive towards academic excellence and college involvement, to enjoy the opportunities that are given as a part of college life. Members of Alpha Omicron Pi are involved in more than 51 activities and campus organizations. The Alpha Theta Chapter at Coe College was founded in 1969.
