Welcome to I-Club!
The International Club was established with the main purpose of assisting international students in every possible situation while they are here in the US. The club introduces new international students to the community around, both on and off the campus. It also provides information of necessity to the students, such as tax return forms, shopping tips, health advice and insurance, culture awareness, etc.
The club aims to bring cultural awareness to both international and American students. It is not only one of the biggest clubs on campus, but also one of the most active ones at Coe. We have two big annual events; Cultural Show and International Banquet. Besides the two campus wide events, we also have a retreat, movie night, sports competition, etc.
Deanna Jobe, the international advisor at Coe, is the I-Club advisor. If you are a current or prospective international student, she is the one you can get a help from. The I-Club executive members are also here for you, so please feel free to contact with any of us. Have a great trip to our web page.
Culture Show
Each country often takes pride in their own traditions. In the Culture show night of 2005, International students gathered to perform their traditional music and customs. We had a fun night with passionate dances of Asians countries, with Vietnamese students in "Ao dai" (Long dress), Japanese students in "Kimono", and many other activites.
International Banquet
The Coe College International Banquet of 2006 took place on February 19. It was a special occasion that international students could demonstrate their talents in music and introduce their food culture to domestic students. It was a night of fun, with more than 500 hundred people participating, and a night of mutual understanding.
