President's Report for Spring 2007

Greetings brothers! Last fall was a pretty good semester for Beta Kappa, so when I took over the presidency this semester I decided to set some pretty high goals for myself and the chapter. We’ve done a good job on them so far
and I’m hoping we’ll continue to become more productive, musical and brotherly as the semester continues.

We initiated two good brothers last semester and we have two fine, committed probationary members this semester. I’m looking forward to a probationary class at least twice that size next semester…we have a few good
guys who are definitely planning on joining and there were a number of great prospective students who would fit well in our fraternity.

We had a really great retreat over our Spring Break and came back galvanized for action. We’ve got a number of events coming up, including a Mills Music Mission, an American Music Recital and what looks to be a highly
effective Piano Bash. I’m sure that we’ll accomplish all of our goals this semester. We’re also very excited about trying some new social events (the AOP’s asked us to have a social/movie night, for example) and continuing with
some old favorites. I hope many of you will be able to attend our Spring Formal. Finally, a number of brothers will be giving recitals this semester, and hopefully we’ll all reflect well on this great fraternity.

Overall, it’s been a great semester so far and I’m looking forward to the rest of it!
OAS AAS LLS,
Andrew Stern ’08
President
