NUMBER (#) SUMMARY
A number summary is a value from the data that is used to convey information
about one or more variables. Number summaries are most often used with
quantitative variables. Number summaries for one quantitative variable
are divided into two classes: Measures of Spread and Measures of Location.
Correlation is the most commonly used number summary for comparing two
quantitative variables.
