Columns

From June, 1998 to September 2002, I regularly wrote guest columns for the local paper, the Cedar Rapids Gazette.  These columns grew out of my experiences and reflections on being the mother of two small boys. 

As parents know, there are plenty of stories to tell about raising small children.  To write these columns, I began with an experience that puzzled, surprised, or discouraged me--and went from there.  I wrote about two dozen columns during that four years.  Maybe at some point I'll get them all posted here.
