Whither
Little Path, is a volume of 30 folksongs from the Czech
and Slovak Republics which were translated and arranged by Professor
Emerita Alma Turechek. Miss Turechek graduated from Coe in 1925
and taught music theory and piano in the music department from 1925
until her retirement in 1969. She has had a long life interest in
folk music and is pleased that her work, which began more than 50
years ago, is now available as a resource for music educators and
other individuals seeking attractive, graceful arrangements of Czech
and Slovak folk songs.
Copies of Whither Little Path may be obtained by sending
$6.00 per copy to Margie V. Marrs, Department of Music, Coe College,
Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52402.
Copies can also be obtained by contacting Coe Review Press.
