Costa Rica May Term
Trip costs: $2000. Includes air fare from Cedar Rapids, lodging for 15 nights in Costa Rica (in San Jose, at the beach, in the rain forest, etc.), entry fees to national parks and white water rafting trip, transportation within Costa Rica, and partial meal allowance. NOTE: costs fluctuate. The actual costs paid by the trip coordinator out of this fund for air fare and lodging will determine how much is available for meal allowances. It is likely that you will be given a meal allowance of $100 to $300. Actual costs of meals will vary. Students on previous trips have found that $5 to $25 per day is generally adequate. Thus participants in the trip should expect to have about $100 to $200 additional money for meals plus $100 or more for personal expenses including souvenirs.
