Illustrations For "All My Sad Captains"

The artist is Eric Pape (1870-1938). He was born in San Francisco, CA, studied in New York and Paris, and worked in London and New York. Pape achieved some reputation as a painter, and he illustrated several well-known books. He did the original illustrations for the magazine publication of Henry James's The Turn of the Screw.
