Marcia Oakes Woodbury (1865-1913) was born in South Berwick, Maine, She studied painting in New York and Paris. Her paintings, "Triptych" and "Mother and Daughter," belong to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She and her husband, Charles H. Woodbury (1864-1940), were friends of Jewett.
