Audition Announcement

The Coe College Departments of Music and Theatre Arts are pleased to announce open auditions for the musical play Cabaret, which will be presented as a “Winterstock” production in the Dows Theatre in early February.This musical is to be rehearsed during January Term--from 9 until 5, each Monday through Friday--and cast members will register for the production as their Winter Term class.Additional commitments include technical rehearsals during some of the days otherwise allocated for the winter break between the end of January Term and the start of the Spring Term.Performances are at 8 pm on February 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 and at 2 pm on Feb. 10.

There are 8 principal roles in Cabaret, 5 for men and 3 for women.Additionally, there is a singing and dancing ensemble that will consist of approximately 8-10 other performers, men and women in fairly equal measure.Some of the members of this ensemble will also play other small speaking roles throughout the performance.
