Flunk Day 2005 Plans

 

To the extent possible, I would like to honor Flunk Day, but there are certain times, because of performances, that we would not be able to do so.  Please read the following and abide by the instructions:

 

On flunk day itself (or any day you think might be flunk day), you may call the Coe College Bands Flunk Day Hotline (399-8043) after 10 am to find out about afternoon or evening rehearsals.  I will try to update my message to inform you whether we will meet that day or not.  If you hear the usual message, it means that it is NOT flunk day, and everything will proceed as normal.

 

Any rehearsal may be canceled for flunk day except for the Festival of Bands Dress rehearsals– April 6, 7, and 8. I apologize in advance if this plan affects your ability to participate in Flunk Day, but I am sure you can understand that we can not cancel the rehearsals with the guest artist (April 7 and 8), nor the last major rehearsal before meeting with the guest artist.  Thank you in advance for your consideration.

 

Because we will likely lose one of the other rehearsals between Festival of Bands and Commencement, I plan to use the Wednesday, April 13 rehearsal time to start learning commencement music, but we will not begin rehearsal that evening until 7:30 pm.  As is, we will have only 4 Wednesdays and one Monday between
