Bryan Hardester, D.M.A. in Progress
Bryan
Hardester (Trombone) rejoins the Coe music faculty this fall. In
addition to his work in the brass studio, Mr.Hardester will teach Advanced
Counterpoint. Hardester is sought after as a performer and teacher of brass
instruments. Hardester has an undergraduate degree from Southeast Missouri
State University and a graduate degree from the University of Cincinnati
College Conservatory of Music. He is currently in the final stages of a
doctorate of musical arts at the University of Iowa. A former member of the
Cedar Rapids Symphony, Hardester is also an award-winning jazz trombonist. In
addition to his work at Coe this fall, Mr. Hardester plans to establish a
private studio for student trombonists in Eastern Iowa.
