some history
The Coe Writing Center opened in September of 1986 with a staff of seven writing consultants and one director. Since that first year, the Writing Center staff has grown dramatically with a staff of 65 undergraduate consultants conducting over 2,000 writing conferences each year. Since 1986, the staff members have published dozens of articles and essays in professional journals and have given over 80 presentations at state, regional, and national conferences.

how do i arrange a conference?
The Writing Center's telephone number is 319-399-8743. You can call or go to the CWC (we're in Peterson Hall 154) to schedule an appointment with the consultant working at the hour of your choice, or you can just walk in during regular hours.
