A bare stage. A full mind. The stage suddenly becomes the map of
imagination. A director takes pictures straight from his mind's eye and
etches them onto the canvas which is the stage. Cross stage left, cross
stage right. Gesture here, sit there: the directions giving life to what
once had existed only as a thought. The stage is a map of interpretation.
Through this, others now can have a clear vision of the mind of the
director. He has given them the purest gift, the purest image. A dream,
only a thought.
